This year I decided to make things easier for me not to have a death spiral of plants on my windows. I picked ONE kind of plant for the main windows – hortensia in blue and pink and white – and classic red begonias for the Boutros window. 

It took two trips to the flower market (named after QE2) on Ile de la Cite to get it done, but gosh are they pretty.

It has been a few weeks and they are all still alive – and with the heatwave that is saying a LOT.
