There are so many lovely churches in Paris, but this one is my favorite. It is the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and right across from Les Deux Magots – one of the great cafes.
The first time I went there, it was to celebrate my grandmother’s family name, but the peace and solitude brings me back. There is rarely anyone in there after mass and it is a lovely space where you can feel the the divine. It also has the grave of Saint Germain, who died in 597, so that is just bonker cool.
