As a huge lover all all things egg-based, I had a great time going to basically every restaurant in Paris known for their soufflés.
However the one that I kept coming back to – and dragging every human I know was Le Récamier. It is like eating air and incredible tasting air. The cheese soufflé with a crisp salade verte with dijon dressing? Too scrumptious for words. The dessert soufflé of Grand Marnier? My father ate it and he was a little unsure of the whole soufflé thing.
The other two soufflés that were world class were at Benoit and Le Pavyllon. Le Pavyllon was the best meal I’ve had in my life and Benoit has sincerely the warmest atmosphere and best profiteroles in existence. The chocolate? (insert Homer Simpson drooling noise).
